EXTENDED HEALTH CARE (EHC) AND CHIROPRACTIC FEES

Family Effective December 1, 2004, the provincial government of Ontario eliminated partial support ($9.65 per visit to a maximum of $150 per year) for chiropractic care. The elimination of partial OHIP funding for chiropractic care means that the government has transferred the cost of care to the patient. If you have Extended Health Care (EHC) insurance, you may find that your plan will cover all or a portion of your chiropractic care. Many Extended Health Care insurance policies cover chiropractic care. Your employer, human resource representative, private insurance administrator or union will be able to provide information as to the details of your coverage for chiropractic care under your EHC plan. Your chiropractic receipts may also be applied as a tax deduction where applicable. Our centre offers several convenient payment options, including cash, cheque, debit or VISA.

Like several other essential health services that are not OHIP funded (e.g. dentistry, optometry, psychology), chiropractic remains an important part of the health care system. Chiropractic care is also an affordable, safe and extremely effective health care discipline that can successfully address many musculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, and repetitive strain, work, sport, and motor vehicle injuries.

Our centre always welcomes new patients and a referral is not necessary to access chiropractic care. We make every effort to offer the highest quality of care. This is what has made our centre a leader in chiropractic care with our multi-faceted and comprehensive approach. We strive to enhance the total quality of life for each individual through education and excellence in chiropractic care.
