DR. JOHN A. PAPA
Chiropractor
Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Graduate
Clinic Director and Founder, New Hamburg Wellness Centre
Dr. John Papa was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo. Growing up he was active in many sports. As a young teenager, chronic low-back pain kept him from participating in sports for extended periods of time. Chiropractic care eventually became the answer for his chronic low-back pain, and many of the other sprains, strains and injuries that accompanied his active lifestyle!
Dr. Papa attended Wilfrid Laurier University where he played on the varsity soccer team and obtained an Honors Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. Upon graduation, his interest in health and fitness took him to the Good Life Fitness Clubs where he worked as a manager and personal trainer.
He started the doctor of chiropractic program in Toronto, at the prestigious Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 1998.
Dr. Papa graduated from CMCC in 2002, with clinical honours. He is the Clinic Director and Founder of the New Hamburg Wellness Centre. Since opening, the New Hamburg Wellness Centre has continued to build a strong reputation as a patient centred and results orientated facility, becoming Wilmot Township's premiere choice for chiropractic, acupuncture, rehabilitative physical therapy and massage therapy treatment.
Dr. Papa's extensive training and post-graduate education has allowed him to offer many different treatment options for patients seeking acute and chronic pain relief, and maintenance-preventative care for their structural health. This list of treatment options includes
activator techniques,
acupuncture,
Active Release Therapy (ART),
electrotherapy,
rehabilitative exercise and physical therapy,
nutrition prescription,
and
advanced computerized gait and orthotic analysis.
This multi-faceted approach has resulted in the effective treatment of many spinal complaints along with many non-spinal complaints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles). He has successfully been able to treat a wide range of individuals from seniors to newborns, from expectant mothers to highly skilled athletes.
In addition to Dr. Papa's strong technical competence, his professional and caring personality makes each individual's visit to the New Hamburg Wellness Centre an enjoyable one. It is Dr. Papa's strong desire to provide each individual with consistency, honesty, and excellence in chiropractic and alternative health care for many years to come.
